About the Group

Star Party Bangladesh is a non-profit photography community dedicated to astrophotography, landscape, and long-exposure photography. Established in 2020 by three passionate astrophotographers — Tafsir Ahmed Khan, Ibtihaj Tafheem Rony, and Midhath Chowdhury — the group began as a small initiative to explore the night sky and capture its beauty.

It has grown into a vibrant community of around 58,000 members from across Bangladesh and beyond. Our events are not commercial; they are driven by a shared passion for the art of night-sky photography.

Despite the large public following, Star Party Bangladesh maintains a close-knit inner circle of exclusive members — photographers who have actively participated in one or more official star parties. They gain access to our private chat group where upcoming events are announced first.

Twelve major star parties have been organized so far in Sylhet, Sajek Valley, Saint Martin's Island, Jamalpur, Cox's Bazar, Teknaf, Thanchi, and Boga Lake — each planned around moon phases, weather, and dark-sky visibility.
